Last night I was depressed, feeling like "I never finish things", because I do tend to start lots of projects and not follow through. I took a critical look at my Ravelympics projects and determined that there was no way I could finish them all (3) by Saturday, and since tonight I have to go to dinner with the in-laws, I didn't think I could even finish out one if I focused soley on one project… so, sad night, appathetic knitting…
Until this morning when I was online and checked out to see what time the closing ceremonies were suppose to be that I found out I have One More Week! It's not over this Satruday, it’s next Saturday… YIPPEE!! OK, deep breath, I could pull this off, I could maybe finish at least the two baby/toddler sweaters… maybe not the blanket, but that's why I chose several projects, to give myself options and besides athletes can be in more than one sport and get 2nd or 3rd medals or even not medal and they are still Olympians:) It’s not all about the gold.
But hey I’m going for at least one! I’m half way on the Angle Jacket, I’m 2” past the armpit on the Cardigan for Merry (knitting top-down raglan)… and about 1’ x 1’ square on the Log Cabin Blanket (I kinda restarted twice on that trying to do something special then giving up and doing it regular, so I would have been further ahead).
I can hear the award music now… Da! Da! Da-da, Da Dum Da! Da dum Da Da, da da da da-da Da DA DA!
